  • Licensed Massage Therapist MT-21028

  • John F. Barnes’ Myofascial Release

Joint Mobilization, Myofascial Release 1, & The Fascial Pelvis

Myofascial Release is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion.

  • Active Release Technique Provider Upper Extremity, Lower Extremity & Spine

This is a type of Manual Therapy that combines manipulation and movement to help relieve adhesions and impingement. This is especially helpful for the athlete looking for immediate results. I did extensive training in Upper Extremity, Lower Extremity, and Spine at the ART Center in Colorado Springs, CO.

  • Advanced Techniques and Orthopedic testing for Sports Massage.

This training has better equipped me to help evaluate and determine the cause or source of pain and injury and what treatment approach is best. If I believe you are in need of imaging, PT, or see an orthopedic surgeon I will refer you to one.

About me:

I was raised in Sedona, Arizona. My parents brought us here in 1993 to escape the humidity and hurricanes in South Florida. From a very early age, I had an interest in anatomy and movement. My experience as a varsity athlete led to a curiosity about injury, performance, effective fitness programming and recovery. I quickly learned that a well-rounded routine includes massage therapy and ongoing self-care. In college I studied Nutrition, Anthropology, and Exercise Science.

Following my passion, I attended The Sedona School of Massage. I have been a strength and movement coach for 12 years with an emphasis on Orthopedic Rehab, Postural Correction, power lifting, and functional movement.

I use an integrative approach blending hands-on massage therapy, fascial stretching, yoga, strength training, and postural coaching. I am passionate about client-centred and specific care. My goal is to help you address pre-existing trauma and pain in order to proceed safely into an active lifestyle with body-positive awareness. I enjoy working with people of all ages and levels.

Testimonials

“Nichole is a body resource I would have a hard time replacing.  I say she is my “body resource,” because as a 50 something multi-adrenaline-sport woman, I am constantly dealing with some body part getting tweaked or injured because of overuse, underuse, or improper use. Nichole has helped me overcome all my injuries and tweaks with a combination of sports massage (especially Active Release), academic soft tissue and skeleton education, and fitness/mobilization/yoga routines. She doesn’t just tell me what to do or change, she explains how everything connects and somehow just knows the right thing to say to motivate me to make necessary changes to my fitness habits. As obsessed as I am about longevity and an active lifestyle, it helps to have someone coaching me that is even more obsessed about wellness than I am. To wit, she finds gentle ways to coax me into being kinder and more compassionate with myself.  Plus, I really appreciate that she is constantly adding more knowledge and expertise through higher education, so her advice and perspective is never out of date.” - Colleen, Adrenaline Junkie

“She fit us in on short notice. We had just finished a 2 day trail running race and the massage was exactly what we needed to recover quickly and enjoy some hiking in the Sedona area. Highly recommend.” - Ken

“One of the most important parts of all things Ultra Marathon and Iron Man is the bodywork! Thanks, Nichole for another amazing session and for bringing my jacked-up body back to normal. If you live in, near, or are visiting Sedona, I HIGHLY recommend self-care with Nichole.” - Heidi V. , Iron Man Athlete

“I am 59 years old and suffer greatly from significant scoliotic curvature of the spine. I have worked with several fitness trainers and massage therapists. Nichole has impressed me with her knowledge of the human musculoskeletal system and her dedication to her craft. I have rarely had massages that are as good at disrupting the pain network that forms in my back. It has been my utmost pleasure to work with Nichole.” - Mary M. Hiker, Gardener.

“Nichole is the best. Listens and knows what to do. She helped resolve my pain and keeps me pain-free and moving comfortably through life.” - Daniel G. Sedona Bicyclist

“I scheduled an appointment with Nichole when I was having severe neck/nerve pain. She was able to see me the same day. After 60 minutes of gentle stretches, massage, and myofascial work, I was feeling so much better. By the next day, I was almost 100% back to normal! I would highly recommend Nichole.” -Chance P. Busy Mom and business owner.

The Highlight of Our Girl’s Trip

“Our hike/yoga experience with Nichole was outstanding. We met Nichole at Red Rock State Park and she was an absolute professional. She was on time, friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the outdoors and yoga. The entire experience from the first inquiry to Savasana was seamless and enjoyable. Highly recommend!" - Ashley
